What we are introducing today is hand-dripped coffee using a paper filter. You can use your favorite coffee beans.
The advantage of hand-dripped coffee is that you can brew delicious coffee with minimum tools. Coffee beans should be grinded just before brewing coffee if possible.
All you need are a dripper, coffee mill (grinder), kettle, server (as lined from the left side in the picture above), and conical paper filter.
How to Brew Delicious Coffee
1. Grind coffee beans
For a cup of coffee, grind 20 g of beans. If you use a grinder, you can apply your favorite grind size.
2. Pour hot water and steam the coffee
For a cup of coffee, prepare 300 mL of hot water.
Set a dripper and filter on the server and get the filter wet with hot water that was boiled in a kettle in advance. This prevents smell transfer from the paper.
Next, pour hot water like drawing circles from the center to outside (3 to 4 circles in total) and let it steam for about 40 seconds. Repeat this process 5 to 6 times.
In winter, it would be even better to pre-warm the cup, dripper and server by pouring hot water beforehand.
3. Pour coffee into a cup
The coffee extracted in the server will have 2 layers with different concentration, so stir it well before pouring. That’s all for delicious coffee!
