What is "Omoeraku"?

In Japan, wood has been used for daily supplies, craftworks and art in various occasions since ancient times. Wood is still widely used for products in modern era, where we also have other materials, such as plastic and aluminum, which provide better cost performance and so are more suitable for mass production. From these wooden craftworks, we can see the Japanese “spirit” to value the tradition passed down through generations.

Omoeraku is a brand developed by Miranda Style CO., which has been sticking to handmade production by professionals and attempting to combine traditional craftwork with modern culture.

The term “Omoeraku” is written as “以為” in Japanese Kanji, which means “Imagine and think”. As its name suggests, the concept of “Omoeraku” is “Imagine and think about traditional cultures and food cultures to learn, enjoy and pass them down through generations”.

Omoeraku is aiming to appreciate Japanese traditional culture and food culture and to develop new tools that help people in modern era.

Niko cedar liquorware, a lineup of Omoeraku, is a good fortune item. Masu, a square wooden box for sake, is a Japanese traditional liquorware and features its unique shape.
