Key Features

  • You can carry your favorite knife safely with this paulownia wooden knife case. Its water resistance and strength is enhanced by black urethane coating. This light, slim and easy-to-carry case is composed of antibacterial paulownia wooden body soft enough to protect a blade, and aluminum sliding cover.
  • Small size can fit an up to approx. 155 mm blade including petty/small kitchen knives. Medium size can fit an up to approx. 210 mm blade including Santoku/Nakiri/Gyuto knives.
  • First slide the cover, and place the knife with its blade facing down. The inner magnet attracts the knife to prevent it rattling. The sliding cover is removable, and the body is easy to clean.
  • Its original package is good for a gift.

How to use

  1. Hold the middle of the body and pull the sliding cover slowly with your dominant hand.
  2. Place the knife with its blade facing down.
  3. After confirming that the blade is fixed on the inner magnet, slightly move the knife where it should be.
  4. Put the cover back to the body slowly and slide it until it’s locked.

Use & Care

  • To prevent the knife rusting, wipe it to drain the water sufficiently before putting it away.
  • If it’s stained, wipe the stained area with a cloth. If the stains are too bad, wash and drain it sufficiently, and dry it in a well-ventilated place.

Background

Since the establishment in 1892, Babacho has responded to constantly changing needs over time. In the era when there is nothing left in Japan after the World War II, it started primitive wholesale business selling the local products stocked from the peddlers nationwide and kept developing in the subsequent high economic growth period. In addition to selling imported goods and materials from Taiwan to domestic customers, it now sells hand tools and gardening merchandise as DIY shop business is rising in Japan.

Babacho promises that it will keep trying hard to maintain the principles of corporate management based upon its truly “customer first” spirit and to improve its service.
