• These chopsticks were produced by Seikou with a concept combining Wakasa lacquer and Kutani ware painting, and have been manufactured since before Edo period. The chopsticks with lucky charm marks are compatible with dishwashers, so good for either daily use or gifts.
• Wakasa lacquer chopsticks are manufactured in Obama, Fukui. For their high water / heat proofness, they have won the top share of chopsticks domestically made. Unlike assembly-line production, they are individually made by professionals, so each has its own feature, which is one of the best parts of Wakasa lacquer products.

Use & Care

• Compatible with dishwashers.
• Wash them right after use. Strong rubbing with cleanser or nylon scrub may cause damage to the painting.
• Thoroughly rinse and dry them. Wipe water off with a cloth to prevent mold or bad smell. Wipe over the pattern very gently, not rub.

Background

Seikou Co Ltd, founded in the Taishō era, is a third generation family-owned Kutani pottery kiln. They aim to deliver the traditional Kutani Ware at low cost to everyday life. All of their Wa-style paints and transfer printing sheets are developed in-house. They create from its design to products at their factory in Nomi City, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan.
