What is Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)?
SAF is one of the most promising solutions for reducing CO₂ emissions in the aviation industry.
Unlike traditional fossil fuels, SAF is produced from renewable and non-fossil-based sources such as:
- Used cooking oil
- Corn
- Waste materials
- Carbon dioxide and hydrogen
These feedstocks are refined using advanced technology and blended with conventional jet fuel, making them safe to use in today’s aircraft without any engine modifications.
By using SAF, conventional jet fuel's lifecycle emissions can be effectively reduced by approximately 70–80%.
