Refund policy

Globalkitchen Japan offers returns for most items within 30 days of receipt of delivery.

We cannot accept returns on personalized items, special-order items, made-to-order items, food, books, or items damaged through normal wear and tear.

We accept returns on defective items within 7 days of receipt of delivery.

The products to be refunded have to be complete and be in an unused and undamaged condition.

Cancellations

If your order has not yet been shipped (i.e. you have not received the shipment confirmation), please notify us as soon as possible. You can cancel the order and we will refund you the total amount of your order.

However, if your order has already been shipped, you cannot cancel it. You can return your items instead. We regret that we are unable to refund your original shipping charges (if applicable) unless the return was a result of our error.

Returns

You can return most products to Globalkitchen Japan if they are complete, unused, and undamaged.

Unfortunately, we cannot refund any taxes, duties, charges, or delivery costs you may have paid when placing your order or the shipping cost for sending the item back to us.

To return an item, please email us (support@globalkitchenjapan.com) with your return request indicating what you are returning and why within 30 days of receipt of the products.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Please note that items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective or damaged or if you received the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items

Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on gift cards.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded using your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember that it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund, too.

If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at support@globalkitchenjapan.com.

Globalkitchen Japan will issue a refund within 1-2 working days of receiving your returned order. Refunds can only be to the original payment method used in the charge. Depending on your bank, the refund will generally be received in your account within 5-10 working days.
