Background

The scissors specialist Toribe Seisakusho Co., Ltd was founded in 1962 in Sanjo City, Niigata, Japan. All of their products are manufactured and hand-finished by their skilled craftsmen at their factory in Japan.

Tsubame-Sanjo area in Niigata Prefecture was used to be a Japanese sword producing district and their predecessors had studied and improved their technique over several generations. It has been then passed down to the present and transformed to cutlery manufacturing skills.
