Use & Care
A traditional knife-maker Jikko also known as Sakai Jikko was founded in Sakai city, Osaka, the capital of samurai sword manufacturing since the 14th century, in 1901.
Sakai craftsmen are famous for their kitchen knives and are believed to supply nearly 90 percent of the knives used by professional chefs in Japan. At present, there are six craftsmen at the company, including Toshiyuki Jikko who is the fourth owner and the president.
