How to make Halloween cookies
You want to make delicious cookies if you're going to do it anyway. It's more challenging to make tasty cookies than we think. In this blog, I will introduce a home recipe that can reproduce cookies like a professional patissier made.
Ingredients (8 to 10 cookies)
- butter 100 g
- powdered sugar 40 g
- almond powder 30 g
- all purpose powder 120 g
- caster sugar as you like
- Cut butter into 1 cm sized dice and cool it in the fridge for 20-30 minutes.
- Sieve powder sugar, all purpose powder and almond powder together, and cool them in the freezer for about 1 hour.
Put all the ingredients in the food processor and mix them quickly until they turn to a big lump.
Move the dough lump into the plastic wrap and cool it for 30 minutes (don't touch the dough directly. Round the dough over the wrap).
Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough to 15 mm thickness over the wrap or baking paper.
Place the wrapped dough on the tray, freeze it for 2 hours and cut it out (the colder the dough is, the more beautiful baked cookies will be with clear corners).
Coat the side of the dough with caster sugar and bake them at 160° in the oven preheated to 170°.
Finally, decorate them as you like. Enjoy!
Use well-chilled butter. Don't touch the dough with bare hands. Knead it as quickly as possible. In this way, you can avoid melting the butter by your hand temperature to make more flavorful cookies.
Have a wonderful and memorable Halloween in 2019!
